Is Structural Integration Uncomfortable?
Structural Integration can cause some discomfort when the pressure is applied. Some practitioners say this a "reaction pain" that may be necessary when releasing tissue adhesions and correcting habitually poor posture. This work has a reputation for being painful, but there has been more emphasis on gentle techniques in recent years. Many find it helpful in bringing relief from chronic pain.

What to wear?
SI clients wear some clothing. The work is done with clients in underwear or suitable underwear-like clothing (two-piece bathing suit is ok, sports bras work too). All of the actual SI work will be performed on a padded table, while standing or while seated on a bench. Clients, if they prefer, can be covered by a sheet while on the table; however, you will be asked to get up and walk during the session.
